Sunroom Curtains
Although the whole idea of a sunroom is to let the sunlight in, having sunroom curtains serves several purposes. When the sun is too bright, you can close the curtains to provide shade. When you have curtains to the windows, you can still enjoy this extra room of your home after the sun goes down and those outside won't be able to see you inside.
Bamboo curtains look really great in a sunroom because they exude a tropical atmosphere. You won't have to search a wide variety of stores or look for material to match the furniture because bamboo is a neutral color that goes well with all other colors. Shades are best in this design because you can roll them up out of the way to let the sunshine in and pull them down when you want shade or privacy.
If bamboo is not your thing, then there is a wide variety of sunroom shades to choose from. You can choose light-filtering shades that let some light in and allow you to see outdoors at the same time. You can also choose to darken some parts of the sunroom and let the sunlight pour into the others. Then if you want to sit and read you still have the shade and the sun pouring in at the same time.
You can have manual curtains for the sunroom that you actually raise or lower as you see fit. Then there are those that are automatic on a timer. Once you know the times of the day when you require more shade than others, you can set the timer so that the curtains automatically close on the windows.
With the many different types of shades for sunroom windows, you can choose aluminum blinds, wood blinds and cellular blinds. Roman shades that are coordinated with the décor of the sunroom also work well and create a fantastic room.
